Project Life: February ’17

Hey guys! I’m so excited to share my February layout with you today because, well, it sorta kicked my ass this time around. January’s layout was just so easy to put together and I loved how it turned out, and with this month’s layout, I struggled a bit. Not much went on this month but thankfully we took a little road trip the day after my birthday to go ride our rzr side by sides and I managed to get a lot of photos with my GoPro. After having to just walk away from this layout a couple of times, I was able to finally put it all together and now all is good in my craft room!

This layout consists of a big mashup of Push Print Studios, Becky Higgins, and Studio Calico inserts. Sometimes that’s how it just turns out and that’s okay! I used inserts from the Everyday Daydream, Shine,  and Yes printable sets from Push Print Studios. I also cut down a 4×6 insert, from the Wander core kit from Becky Higgins, into a 4×3. The Studio Calico inserts I used were from paper packs and inserts I bought a while back when they had a sale.

I used Kellie Stamps’ Digital Month set again for my title photo. I was able to get this quick picture with my Samsung phone. Random fact about me, I downloaded Snapchat ONLY because I saw they came out with a Hello Kitty filter. I am OBSESSED with Hello Kitty!!! Other than that, I really don’t understand the whole point of that app.

Also, can you take a wild guess how old I turned last month?

Here is a close up of some of the Push Print Studio inserts  I used. I have been hoarding this insert that gives me tribal/southwest vibes. I love this insert and I thought it went perfect with our New Mexico pictures.

Because I had so many pictures of our small trip, I decided to cut down a Design V page protector from a 12×12 into a 4×12. I stamped the first photo using Kelly Purkey’s February Kit and I added a tab with the date. I finished this page with a chipboard accent from the Everyday Edition Chipboard Stickers and an insert from the Confetti Edition Digital Set. Here is the front and back of the page that I will be putting in between this month’s layout.

Whew! That’s a lot of stuff I used for this layout! Hoarding has it’s privileges my friends! And here’s one more thing to hoard, the journal card I made to document the month. Remember, just right click and select save.

I’m really hoping that March’s layout will be a little easier to put together because I plan on having A TON of photos! We will actually be heading to Moab, Utah next week for Spring Break. This is the first time we will be going to Utah so we’re looking forward to a change in scenery. And yes, we’re taking the side by sides and the dogs! Fun times!

Thanks for stopping by!

August ’16 Top 5

Hey there! I’m not sure if you noticed but I didn’t do a Top 5 last month because I didn’t buy much and I have just… completely run out of ideas… I need some help here! Thankfully, I was able to do a little shopping and I have a great Top 5 for you for August! But first, I am excited to announce that I will be a guest creative for Kellie Stamps for the month of September!!! How awesome is that?! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kellie, her stamps, and her blog and this is such a huge deal to me! I think her creative team is awesome and I’m super excited to be a part of the group this month!

So let’s go ahead and get started with this month’s Top 5:

1. Mexicons Rumberas Coloring Book

By now I’m sure you know coloring books are all the rage right now and I wish I had the time to sit and color (I do but I’m just lazy). I’ve seen so many adult coloring books but just never found one that made me want to buy it, that is until I came across this gem. I follow Mexiconsart on Instagram (because I love anything Frida related) and when this coloring book popped up on my feed, I knew I had to get one! Now my problem is I’m too scared to mess it up with my bad coloring.

2. Push Print Studios Digital Downloads
august-16-fave-2

Have you been to the Push Print Studios website? It is owned and designed by Caytlyn, who has amazing design taste! You can download a sheet of pocket page inserts for only a dollar!!! Talk about making your way into this cheap girl’s heart! I cannot wait until she releases her Fall collection!

3. Kate Spade Escape the Ordinary Rotating Stamp & Ink Set
august-16-fave-3

I don’t have many rotating stamps but I knew this was one I needed to add to my small collection. I love this because of the fun phrases plus it’s just so pretty! It’s perfect for my Traveler’s Notebook, planner, or Project Life layouts.

4. Becky Higgins Everyday Edition Photo Overlays
august-16-fave-4

I hope you guys were able to take advantage of Becky’s big sale recently because I sure did! I really didn’t plan on adding this to my cart but at the end I thought “sure, why not?” When I took them out to play with these overlays I couldn’t believe how good they looked on photos, I totally underestimated them! It adds such an effortless touch to your photos! With these, you don’t have to reprint photos if you don’t like what you stamped/glued on them. If you don’t like it, just take it off, no damage done to your photos. This is a must have for your Project Life layouts!

5. GoPro Hero4 Black
august-16-fave-5
I freaking finally got a GoPro!!!! Major points to my husband who bought me one for our wedding anniversary (only took a year of me bugging him for one). This thing is so teeny tiny which is perfect for any outing. I’m hoping to get some pretty bad-ass pictures with this for my Project Life layouts! But for the meantime, here’s a fun video that I recorded with the time lapse feature of me putting part of my craft room together.

Could this mean more videos in the future? Yay or nay? We’ll see.

I am beyond excited for September! I still have a couple more things going on that I will share soon! Thank you so much for stopping by, hope you enjoyed!
