Push Print Studio Design Team/The Lovely Pear x Push Print Studio

Testing, testing 1 2 3. Is this thing still on?

Hey there! Long time no write… er, read? Yes, it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post and I wish I had a good excuse for not doing so but truth is I really don’t. I’ve just been living life, here at home. Nothing exciting but thankfully nothing bad. I guess you could say my creative mojo completely died there for about a year. Props to those who are still very dedicated in their craftiness. You must show me your ways!

Just when I thought I was done, an awesome opportunity came to me. Caytlyn Cole reached out to me and asked me to collaborate with her on a Push Print Studio set and to be part of her first creative team! It’s not my first time designing cards but it’s the first time I really took it serious! Push Print Studio is my absolute favorite brand to use. I love Caytlyn’s style and I always find something on her website for my layouts.

The Lovely Pear x Push Print Studio is the set I created and you can find it on the PPS website here. Here’s an odd tidbit, I was inspired by skin care products when I created this set. I have been obsessed with skin care and vanity pictures lately! I pulled together this layout to showcase the set and I love the rose theme that came about.

As you can see on this self care list I made, I’m all about the face masks and oils for your face!

Another collaboration PPS did was with Marisol Ortega and I LOVE this set! I was so happy that it paired nicely with my pictures from a recent Tool concert we went to. My favorite thing to do when documenting a concert is adding the setlist somewhere in the layout. This was the perfect thing to document in my new Jamaica Makes album (I was so excited to finally use this!)

I cannot wait to show you what I’m working on next! Stay tuned!

Cuteness Documented

Hi guys! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA these past couple of weeks. My husband recently started taking evening classes which means I have to cook for myself… Yes, I eat a lot of frozen pizzas and nachos but I try to cook dinner here and there plus I’ve been trying to clean a little more than I usually do, all because I’m so proud of the hubby and I want him to feel like I can hold down the fort… sometimes. Plus I’ve been taking care my four-legged and web-toed kids, and aside from that I’ve been catching up on all my bad reality TV shows. So again, I’m sorry and I will try my best to not let it happen again!

I made a very quick scrapbook layout with the Instagram picture I took of Lucky when we first got her (I can’t help but “Aww!” when I see this pic). I cut down a white 8.5×11 paper down by half an inch on 3 sides and adhered that to a colorful ombre background from Craft Smith. Because of the colorful background, I chose to use black and white accents.DSC02877I am loving parcel tags right now so I decided to type on one to add a little journaling. DSC02881I finished the layout with a little sewing on the edges and by stamping the bottom edge with one of Kellie’s Stamps. I added some washi tape and a cool Jodie York flair button (which I’m also loving right now) from Scrapbook and More.

Thanks for stopping by, see you next time (soon)!

Smile #Goodtimes

Hi guys! Today I’m sharing a scrapbook layout I made and it’s my first time doing an 8.5 x 11 page. I usually do 12 x 12 pages but I recently discovered these smaller pages and I love how they look. Most of the layouts that draw my attention are simple and clean looking so that’s the look I went for on this page.

I found some pictures I took on a family trip to Chama, New Mexico in 2013. I had taken these pictures of AJ outside of our cabin with the continuous shooting mode on my Sony camera.

Smile #Goodtimes 1I decided to go for a geometric-type layout because those type of designs really catch my eye. I created a simple layout in Adobe Photoshop because I wanted to plan it out first instead of just putting something together like I usually do.

Triangle Layout copy

Once I got the layout figured out, I cut out the triangles with my Cricut and added different background paper to each cut-out. I also used my Cricut to cut out the sentiment and I added some gold letter stickers and wood stars from Studio Calico.

I typed out my “journaling” and cut it out in strips. At the end I added a couple of strips to the top of the page with my sewing machine since I had such a big empty space at the top.Smile #Goodtimes 3

I really love how the page came out and I think I am going to stick to these 8.5 x 11 pages from now on! I hope you guys enjoyed!

Just Like Heaven

Hi everyone! The time I’ve been waiting for has finally come! It’s not officially Spring time yet but my trees are finally starting to wake up!

Pear Tree - Spring 2

Pear Tree - Spring

I had no idea my pear tree had already started blooming. As I took these pictures, the birds were chirping, the doors to the house were wide open, and my dogs and I were enjoying the sunshine, little moments like this are what makes my soul happy!

So today I decided to change it up a bit. It’s been about two years since I’ve scrapbooked and lately I’ve just had the urge to make a quick page, probably because when I listen to certain songs I hear little parts of lyrics I want to use on a page, plus anybody who knows me well, knows I will find any chance to make anything related to The Cure. So I finally decided to go for it and dust off my 12×12 paper.

I’ve been wanting to scrapbook this picture of my son for the longest time but just couldn’t think of a layout or title for it. This is my favorite baby picture of him, he’s actually eleven now so… yeah, this took a long time to make! I decided to make the picture black and white and have the title as the pop of color.

Just Like Heaven 2I love this little label maker, I think I bought it for like $5 at Michael’s Craft Store a couple of years ago and I’m so glad I did because this thing comes in handy. I’ve used this in scrapbooking and cardmaking, and I also want to use this whenever I decide to make a Project Life page.

I made the “Just Like Heaven” with my Cricut. The wooden stars are from Studio Calico and the clouds were made with WPlus9 dies.Just Like Heaven 4I used a blank white paper for my background and sprinkled different colors of ink with my water brush.Just Like Heaven 5

So there it is, a quick and simple scrapbook page! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you guys are enjoying the early signs of Spring as well!
