It’s a Girl Baby Shower Card

Hello friends! A good friend of mine asked me to make her a baby shower card for a pregnant friend of hers. I was already coming up with different ideas when she told me she needed it in two days…  boo, I was hoping I would have an excuse to order some supplies (who am I kidding? I don’t need an excuse).

Well… it turns out I wasn’t done playing with felt.

Its a Girl 1

I came home and came up with this sweet card and was able to give it to her just in time! It was so easy for me to cut out the pears from felt on my last card that I decided to use it again for this card. Even though the letters are a lot smaller, I had no trouble die-cutting them. Also, I am so impressed with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid glue, the felt completely stays in place. Definitely a great purchase.

I used a cover plate die from Papertrey Ink, and these dies are so awesome because there’s so many ways to use them. I used the same die for a birthday card I made last year. I did more of a rainbow effect instead of using the coordinating stamp set.

Fabulous Birthday

I love the birthday card and I’m very happy with how the baby shower card came out. My friend loved the card and I hope the recipient does as well!

Happy Little Hello

Hi guys! I’m so excited to show you this card I made this last weekend. This is definitely one of my favorites! I finally decided to use felt and my new pear dies! I wanted to create a small, simple card, made for no specific reason but just to say hello.

Happy Little Hello 1

I sprinkled some dots of Simply Chartreuse and Ocean Tides ink with my Ranger Water Brush. I then cut the pears out of felt and glued them with Tombow liquid glue and added some gold sequins with glossy accents.

Happy Little Hello 2

I’m so happy with how this card turned out! I’m on the lookout for more pear shaped stamps and dies so this is not my last pear card!

Thanks for reading! Please don’t forget to follow my blog if you’re not already!

Pink Lemonade Hello Card

Hello again! After I posted last night, I was ready to get in my craft room to try to come up with a card for the Lawnscaping Challenge: Create a Background.

Yesterday I bought the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad Mini Kit #1 and a Versamark Emboss Ink Pad and I REALLY wanted to use both with this card. For this challenge, I had to create my own background using stamps. I went with Lawn Fawn’s Sophie’s Sentiments and used the little happy face, flower, and heart.

I created the background with the distress inks, and used white embossing powder for the pattern. I cut the sides with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Scallop Border and the sentiment with Scripty Hello in three different colors. The background was then added to the card with foam tape.

I’m very happy with how it came out and I can’t wait to submit more cards to the Lawnscaping Challenges!

I’m really happy with how the card came out and I look forward to submitting more cards to the Lawnscaping Challenges.

Kiss Kiss

Muah! Smooch! Or as my husband and I like to text each other, Kiss Kiss! I love love love the shape of lips! I thought about using lips as my “signature” on the back of my cards but I didn’t because 1. I hardly have any (lips) and 2. I never wear lipstick. But even though I’m so plain Jane, I can’t help but buy lipstick when I pass the MAC makeup counter at the mall. The colors are just so gorgeous! It’s like I’m a kid in a candy store!

So of course I was excited to use one of my “lips” stamps for a Valentine’s Day card. I decided to submit this card to the Make It Monday Challenge.

Part of the challenge is to use at least one Papertrey Ink item and use homemade foam stickers. The paper, ink, and rectangle die are from Papertrey Ink. I made the XOXO foam stickers with black glitter paper and foam paper I bought at my local Hobby Lobby. I cut them out with Lawn Fawn alphabet dies and my cuttlebug. The stamp, Kiss #127C by Rubber Stamped, was also bought at Hobby Lobby (a couple of years ago). Super simple but sweet!

2014 Christmas Cards

The majority of my stamps, dies, and inks are from Papertrey Ink, I am obsessed! I love all their items including all their designers. I started planning my Christmas cards about two months early, which I’m proud of because I’m such a procrastinator. My son cut out all the shapes and I stamped and put everything together, we make a great team!
