Hi there! I hope you guys are having a great April so far! It has been a very cloudy and rainy week here in west Texas. But, while I wait for warmer and drier weather, I’m crafting it up in my craft room!
I just recently bought the Zoo Crew stamp set from Paper Smooches and I couldn’t wait to use it because I love how PS designs their critters. I knew I wanted to make a partial die cut with this set once I got it, so of course I needed to get the matching die set. I did the partial die cutting with one of circles from Lawn Fawn’s Circle Stackables die set and the giraffe die.
For the background, I heat embossed Simon Says Stamp clear embossing powder on white paper. You can see on the picture below how well the embossing powder melts. I really like this embossing powder, it melts so fast, and I never have a problem with my paper warping.
I used Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, and Limeade Ice from Papertrey Ink with my Ranger blending tool to finish off the background.
The giraffe was colored with Copics (I’m still trying to master those). I used foam adhesive to adhere the top layer over the patterned paper and I stamped the sentiment on Ripe Avocado paper. Because I don’t have any enamal dots, I made my own using Liquid Pearls from Ranger.
I hope to make more cards soon with the rest of the Zoo Crew critters. I can’t seem to get away from the Paper Smooches website, I’m obsessed and I just want MORE!!!
Anyway, I hope you guys like my card, and please bare with me as I explore all the infinite options of photographing my cards! I’m just having a lot of fun with my camera… and random objects and backgrounds, you get the idea.

Hi guys! I ordered a new alphabet stamp set from Mama Elephant, Block Party Letters, and this set is so awesome. I love this font! I wanted to make a fun and artsy card. I’ve been inspired by a lot of graphic design/art that I’ve seen on Pinterest lately. I used other new supplies for this card, this is my first time using My Favorite Things products, I used all MFT paper. Also new, is some of the ink. I’ve been buying Mama Elephant pigment ink pads little by little. I have to say, Mama Elephant ink pad colors are beautiful and I can’t wait until I get all their inks!
I like making “splatters” on my cards with my Ranger Water Brush, and I wanted to try it out with this Gold Martha Stewart ink pad. I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out but it came out better than I expected. I just love how gold and navy look together!
I stamped a flower patterned background using Mama Elephant’s Freestyle Florals in Ocean. I wanted the ink to match the paper where the sentiment is stamped.
I think this would make a great card for many occasions, from graduations to a new job or maybe even a bridal shower?
That’s it for now, I hope you guys enjoyed today’s post, thanks for stopping by!!!

Hey guys! I wanted to make a colorful card to submit to the Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes Week 5 Challenge. I’m also submitting a card for the first time to Virginia’s View Challenge #14 Layers and Dimensions.
I recently ordered some awesome Paper Smooches stamp sets and I wanted to use the Needle Little Love set. As you can see below, it has all these cute shapes associated with sewing and I love the sentiments it comes with.
I made the pattern using EK Success’ Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (I love that name). Now, I can’t wait to get a MISTI, but until I do, my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig will do for now and it’s real easy to use.
I attached my patterned paper with foam tape to give it some depth. All these fun ink and paper colors are from Papertrey Ink. I can’t say enough great things about Papertrey’s colors!
And there it is! This card has served as a reminder to me that I need to use my sewing machine more often. Hopefully… maybe… on the next card?
Hope you guys have a great Easter weekend!
Hello everyone! Can you believe March is almost over? Where is the time going? I just now realized I need to start preparing for my Top 5 for March.
I wanted to share a new card I made using Mama Elephant stamps and dies. I don’t know what I like most out of the three sets I used.
First is the Three Amigos stamp and die set, I mean, how cute are these little amigos? Each amigo actually holds his own little sign.
I decided to change things up and have them holding one big sign, which is the Bold Banner die. This banner is awesome, it is perforated on both ends making it easy to fold. I also used one of dies in the Sew Fancy dies set for the border. This is just one of the dies it comes with, it has another border die, a couple of circle dies, a tag die, and a stitched string die. This set is a must have!!!
So now you know why I said I don’t know which set is my favorite! I love the quality of Mama Elephant stamps and they come out with awesome die sets as well. I can’t wait to use them again, I already have some ideas for each set.
I hope you guys have a great rest of the weekend!
Me & My Big Ideas Mambi Sheets
Hey guys! I’m so excited for today’s post! I’ve been meaning to take pictures of my pear tree because it looks so beautiful right now, it’s blooming and full of little white flowers. I was going to take pictures of it during the day but we were outside frying dinner (beer battered chicken strips) pretty late and we were right underneath the tree and I can’t even describe how breathtaking it was to see the moon and stars through all these branches. I don’t know about you guys, but I love, love, love being around nature. My mom instilled a love of nature in me at a young age. She would tell me the flowers she planted were my brothers and sisters, and I giggle to myself as I type this because it sounds silly but that’s my mom and now I understand what she meant when she would talk to me about flowers and plants and trees. So of course, that just helps explain why this pear tree has so much sentimental value to me, that, and because my parents planted it and look at it now.
I like to PRETEND I know what I ‘m doing behind a camera, so just pretend with me. I thought these pictures were so awesome, I actually thought the pictures were going to come out pitch black but I was pleasantly surprised. I just love how these pictures came out with the black background.
Because I’ve been feeling the springtime love, I wanted to make a quick and simple card, with spring colors. I decided to use my Papertrey Ink products for this card.
I ended up making a “Y” shape (just wanted to try something different) for the top layer and used the smallest die from the Stitched Rectangle dies to make a pattern behind it.I think the font on this Hello is so pretty and I couldn’t wait to use it (it’s only $3 on their site!!!) I added a couple of Moonshine sequins and voila! I also wanted to mention, Papertrey Ink has my favorite paper, I HIGHLY suggest buying their Perfect Match Cardstock Sampler!
Well that’s it for now, thanks for stopping by today and checking out my card and pictures!
